An 8” tom delivers a higher, more delicate sound, ideal for nuanced fills and adding sparkle to your overall drum sound.

While not always included, 8” toms are increasingly popular for smaller kits or to create a unique sonic signature.

Lighter single-ply heads are often favored to maximize resonance and allow the tom's higher frequencies to shine, but experiment to find what suits your style.
