What happens to information about you when you use AudioFu. Short version: no accounts, no forms, no data sales — only logs, analytics and ads.

Who we are

AudioFu (audiofu.com) is a price board for music gear. Questions about this policy: [email protected].

What we collect

We don’t run accounts, newsletters or contact forms, so we never ask for your name, email or payment details. What we receive is what every website receives: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you open. Our server keeps these requests in its logs for about ten days, to keep the site running and secure.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to see which pages people use and where the site can be better. Both receive your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit, and set their own cookies — they are listed in the Cookie Policy. We look at the reports in aggregate and don’t try to identify anyone. Google and Yandex process this data under their own privacy policies.

Advertising

We show ads from Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits. You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. Ads never change the order of a chart.

Cloudflare

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and serves copies of pages from servers near you. Cloudflare processes your IP address to do that and may set a short-lived security cookie.

Links to stores

Links to Thomann, Plugin Boutique, Loopmasters and ADSR Sounds take you to their websites. Links to Thomann carry our partner ID, so Thomann can credit AudioFu with a commission when you buy. From that point on, the store’s own privacy policy applies.

Stored in your browser

Your color theme (light or dark) and your MIDI generator settings are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Sharing

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal data. It reaches only the services named above, or authorities when the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Write to [email protected]. You can also block analytics in your browser or with the providers’ opt-out tools — see the Cookie Policy.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
