21" Ride Cymbals

A 21” ride generally provides slightly more wash and a more complex sound than a 20”, but still offers good stick definition, though less focused than a smaller ride.

While usable, a 21” ride might be too subtle for very aggressive playing styles. Larger sizes typically provide the necessary volume and cut.

A thin 21” ride will have more sustain and a washier tone, while a heavy ride will offer more stick definition and a drier, more controlled sound.
