Hercules: the most models, and the #1
Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 Premium, $721
Two motorised 7-inch platters, a premium fader module and a transport case: the top DJ controller in our index. #1 of 42 DJ controllers.
Hercules covers every step, from the $79 Starlight to the 10-inch platters of the DJControl T10, 9th, which we took apart in our T10 special project, with a scratch deck you can try in the browser.
Numark and Denon DJ: standalone near the top
Numark Mixstream Pro+, $737
Plays without a laptop: WiFi streaming and built-in speakers, 2nd overall. #2 of 42 DJ controllers.
Denon DJ's SC Live 4, 3rd, is a four-channel standalone console that also unlocks Serato DJ Pro when you connect a computer.
Roland: three controllers, three top-10 places
Roland DJ-202, $295
A two-channel, four-deck controller with large jog wheels and Roland's drum sounds built in. #6 of 42 DJ controllers.
The DJ-505 and DJ-707M are 7th and 8th. Roland sells only three, and every one of them makes the top 10.
Rane, Reloop and Native Instruments
- Rane is the high end: ten families from $770, with the System One 5th. Many are motorised platter controllers for scratch DJs.
- Reloop has the cheapest top-10 entry, the Buddy at $245, 4th, built for phones, tablets and laptops.
- Native Instruments has only two Traktor controllers in stock, at 22nd and 26th.
And Pioneer DJ?
Pioneer DJ, now AlphaTheta, doesn't appear in Thomann's catalog feed at all, so none of its controllers are in this comparison or in our rankings. If you are set on a Pioneer controller, you'll buy it elsewhere; everything above is what Thomann sells.
Where the numbers come from. Every DJ controller Thomann had in stock on October 31, 2026, and its place in the AudioFu Index, which ranks model families by demand, Thomann's data, price and specs. Bundles of the same controller count as one family. Prices are Thomann's US-dollar prices.
