Frequently Asked Questions

The HS5s offer more low-end extension and a slightly more refined sound, but the HS3s are plenty capable for smaller rooms and tighter budgets. The upgrade is only worthwhile if you really need that extra bass response.
They're usable, but the limited bass response means you'll need to supplement with headphones or a subwoofer for accurate low-end representation in electronic productions.
The HS3s are less prone to harshness than the larger HS models, but the high-frequency response can still be a bit bright, especially in untreated rooms; the high trim switch helps mitigate this.
