On November 3, 2026, Thomann had 126 analog mixers in stock, from $17 to $3,465, and 87 digital mixers, from $190 to $31,381, not counting bundles. Half the analog mixers cost less than $268; half the digital ones less than $2,241.
The number of channels decides the price more than anything else.
| Channels | Analog mixers | Analog median | Digital mixers | Digital median |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 6 | 30 | $135 | 3 | $672 |
| 8 to 12 | 42 | $247 | 12 | $755 |
| 14 to 18 | 13 | $589 | 14 | $919 |
| 20 to 24 | 7 | $784 | 2 | $1,272 |
| 32 to 40 | 1 | $1,680 | 14 | $2,450 |
| 48 and more | 0 | 20 | $4,766 |
In the medians, analog is cheaper at every size. But above 24 channels there is almost nothing analog left, and the cheapest 32-channel digital mixer, Behringer's X32 Rack at $886, costs about half the only analog desk of that size.
Up to 12 channels: analog for $150 to $400
Yamaha MG10, $218
Four microphone inputs with phantom power, three-band EQ and a pad, three stereo inputs and one aux send: enough for a singer-songwriter, a small rehearsal room or a speech. #1 of 110 analogue mixers.
The six-channel MG06 costs $150, the MG12 $380. Mackie's ProFX10v3 at $255 adds effects and USB. 26 of the 126 analog mixers have a USB audio interface built in, for recording the mix.
12 to 18 channels: where digital starts to make sense
Yamaha MGX12, $669
A compact 12-channel digital mixer with a 4.3-inch touchscreen, eight mix buses, built-in effects and recording, for $672. It is number one of 85 digital mixers in our ranking. #2 of 86 digital mixers.
Soundcraft's Ui16 at $498 has no faders at all: a box you control from a tablet over Wi-Fi, with Lexicon effects and feedback suppression. A digital mixer saves scenes, has EQ and compression on every channel and needs no outboard rack, which is why many bands now go digital.
32 channels and up: digital only
At 32 channels, Behringer's X32 Rack costs $886 and the full X32 desk $1,744. Allen & Heath's CQ series runs from $919, Behringer's WING from $1,553.
Allen & Heath SQ5, $2,445
48 channels with 96 kHz processing, 17 faders on six layers, twelve stereo mixes for in-ear monitors and eight effects engines, in a 19-inch rack-mountable desk. #1 of 86 digital mixers.
Yamaha's TF series runs from $3,138 for the TF-Rack to $4,485 for the TF-3. Above that are touring and broadcast consoles: DiGiCo's S21 starts at $6,504 and the most expensive digital desk at Thomann costs $31,381.
What else to budget
A digital rack mixer needs a tablet or laptop to control it. Bigger stages add a stage box: Thomann sells 54 of them, which carry the microphone inputs on one network cable instead of a heavy multicore. And if you only need to record, an audio interface is cheaper than a mixer with the same number of inputs.
Where the numbers come from. Every analog and digital mixer Thomann had in stock on November 3, 2026, from its partner feed, without bundles and cases. Channel counts are read from Thomann's descriptions; mixers whose description doesn't state a count appear in the totals but not in the channel table. Prices are Thomann's US-dollar prices.
