A music teacher's tools wear out fast: classroom speakers, recorders, the keyboard that travels from room to room. That makes useful gear a better thank-you than another mug, especially as a group gift from a class or a parents' collection. Every pick comes from our rankings, with tonight's Thomann price.

Questions
What is a good group gift for a music teacher?
A battery speaker with a mic input like the Behringer MPA40BT ($159), or the Mackie Thump GO for a bigger budget.
What do you get a piano or voice teacher who teaches online?
A better microphone, like the AT2020USB-X: students hear the teacher, and the piano, much more clearly.
