Kala

Kala instruments are primarily manufactured in China, although the company maintains design and quality control oversight in California. They also source some components globally.

Kala U-Basses are designed as true bass instruments, featuring a longer scale length, thicker strings, and a unique pickup system to deliver a bass tone, not just a ukulele with a lower pitch.

Solid-top ukuleles generally offer better acoustic projection and tonal complexity, while laminate ukuleles are more durable and often more affordable, suitable for beginners or travel.
