Product Description

Yamaha YOB-241 Oboe, OboeThe YOB-241 is an affordable oboe made of extremely durable ABS synthetic material. This material sounds similar to wood, is very robust under different climatic conditions and crack resistant.

This oboe was developed for the beginner, who doesn't need the low B or the third octave position in the first time of his training, but a reliable, intonation-safe and easily appealing instrument. It has a simplified conservatory system, semi-automatic octave keys and silver-plated mechanisms. The intonation is precise and the sound is amazingly beautiful and colourful.

Frequently Asked Questions

ABS produces a brighter, more consistent tone, lacking the warmth and subtle nuances of wood. It's a trade-off for durability and stability.
While it omits some keys, it’s designed for initial learning; students can transition to more advanced models later with a strong playing base.
Silver plating resists tarnish and corrosion, extending the life of the keys and ensuring smooth action for a longer time.
