It's ideal for educators, professionals, and dedicated hobbyists wanting a premium instrument.

Product Description

Yamaha U3 TA3 PE, Piano

For a long time, the Yamaha U Series has been the first choice in many educational institutions, among professional musicians and expert hobby pianists.

Using a similar mechanism to the tried-and-tested Silent series, the hammers do not come into contact with the strings when desired, and digital sounds are played instead.

In contrast to Silent Pianos, however, you need neither headphones nor additional amplification: the sound is also reproduced via the soundboard if desired.

It's a fundamentally different experience; the sound originates from the acoustic soundboard, offering a richer, more organic resonance than most digital pianos.
The action is pre-regulated at the factory, but yes, a qualified piano technician can adjust it to suit individual preferences, although modifications are less common on a U3.
No, the TransAcoustic system doesn't involve physical contact with the strings, so it shouldn't impact the acoustic piano's sound quality or longevity.
