The U1 TA3 PE is a fantastic hybrid piano, perfect for serious students, teachers, and home pianists who want the feel of a traditional acoustic with the added convenience of digital sounds and the unique TransAcoustic resonance. It’s a beautifully crafted instrument, offering a professional-grade playing experience, though it demands careful consideration due to its size and price.

Product Description

Yamaha U1 TA3 PE, Piano

For a long time, the Yamaha U Series has been the first choice in many educational institutions, among professional musicians and expert hobby pianists.

Using a similar mechanism to the tried-and-tested Silent series, the hammers do not come into contact with the strings when desired, and digital sounds are played instead.

In contrast to Silent Pianos, however, you need neither headphones nor additional amplification: the sound is also reproduced via the soundboard if desired.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s a clever solution, but it’s not a perfect replication; the acoustic response is more controlled and less nuanced than a purely acoustic piano’s natural soundboard.
The action has limited adjustability, but a skilled technician *might* be able to make minor tweaks to voicing and hammer weight to personalize the feel – but significant modifications are generally not recommended.
Yamaha’s digital piano samples are generally excellent, but the perceived quality is heavily influenced by the acoustic projection and room acoustics.
