The Alien Deluxe 4 FL NT is a surprisingly versatile acoustic bass – the fretless action gives it a unique vibe. It’s fantastic for players seeking a natural acoustic tone with amplified capabilities, especially those in folk, jazz, or blues settings. The medium scale offers a comfortable feel, making it a great choice for smaller hands or those preferring a less booming low end.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Alien’s fretless action is generally smooth, but the slightly narrower nut width (38.5mm) might feel a bit more compact than some of Warwick’s wider-neck models.
The Presys Plus offers a good range of EQ controls (Bass, Middle, Treble, Notch, Brilliance) allowing you to shape the sound, but it’s still an acoustic piezo – expect some inherent limitations in truly replicating a mic'd acoustic bass.
While walnut provides a pleasing aesthetic, it does dampen the overall acoustic projection compared to a fully-spruce Alien model; the sound remains clear and articulate, but less 'loud' in an unplugged setting.
