This 412ce is a beautifully crafted instrument, ideal for fingerstyle players and those seeking a balanced, articulate acoustic tone. The rosewood provides warmth and clarity, while the V-Class bracing gives it surprising projection. It's a premium-priced guitar, but the build quality and tone make it a worthwhile investment for serious players.

Product Description

Taylor 412ce Tobacco Sunburst, Acoustic Guitar with Pickup

The Taylor Grand Concert is suitable for fingerstyle and soft strumming. The 412Ce features the Taylor V-Class bracing which provides increased volume, extended sustain and improved intonation. Rosewood (Dalbergia Latifolia) back and sides give the guitar powerful basses and brilliance in the trebles. The Sitka spruce top ensures optimal vibration behaviour. The pickup is Taylor's own active ES2, dynamic piezo system with bass, treble and volume control.

Frequently Asked Questions

V-Class bracing provides a more even distribution of vibration, resulting in increased volume and sustain compared to the older X-bracing system.
The ES2 is a solid option for amplified sound; it's not a boutique system, but it’s clear and provides some tonal shaping capabilities.
The smaller Grand Concert body focuses the sound, delivering clarity and articulation but sacrificing some of the deeper low-end response you'd find in larger body styles.
