The CCM 41 L is a laser-focused mic – it's incredible for dialogue recording, instruments in noisy environments, and anywhere you need to isolate a sound source. Schoeps' directivity is legendary, and this little guy delivers that precision in a compact, robust package. Perfect for film crews, broadcast engineers, and serious location recordists who demand the absolute best.
Product Description
Schoeps CCM 41 L, Compact Condenser Microphone
The MK 41 and CCM 41 are highly directional: diffuse sound coming from the room is picked up by them even more attenuated than by cardioids. The sound is therefore "drier", and their susceptibility to acoustic feedback is lower than that of any other SCHOEPS microphone type, provided that a speaker does not project directly from behind.
- The directivity is very independent of frequency so that even obliquely incident and diffuse sound is transmitted without colouration and therefore "naturally"
- even at a greater distance from the sound source. This is a real advantage over shotgun microphones
- whose directivity
- based on interference
- only significantly exceeds that of the supercardioid at higher frequencies and whose frequency response and sound image thus depend on the direction of incidence. For this reason
- the MK 41 and CCM 41 are in many cases an interesting and space-saving alternative to the tube directional microphone
- even if their small dimensions do not immediately suggest their high effectiveness. Because of their small size
- they allow you to get closer to the sound source.
An MS microphone arrangement can be placed far away from the signal source if the MK 41 or CCM 41 is used in the M channel.
