A one-piece back often contributes to increased clarity and sustain, as it minimizes potential vibrational damping.
The antique oil lacquer replicates the appearance of centuries-old instruments, and the wear traces are intentionally applied to enhance the vintage aesthetic, but require careful care.
While capable of a high level of performance, it’s more suited to advanced students and serious amateurs; a professional orchestra might prefer an older, more historically significant instrument.
