It's voiced distinctly – more articulate and less muddy than many traditional humbuckers, thanks to the Alnico V magnets and Sadowsky's voicing philosophy.
The bypass is quite clean; you'll lose the added EQ boost, but the core tone remains very similar, maintaining the passive pickup character.
