Frequently Asked Questions

The NT2-A captures detail well, but lacks the KM184’s ultra-refined top-end and smoother low-mids; it’s a great starting point but won’t fully replicate a premium mic’s character.
The SM6 shock mount is surprisingly effective for vibration isolation, and the integrated pop filter does a decent job, but a dedicated, higher-end pop filter might be preferable for critical vocal work.
The NT2-A does have a noticeable self-noise, but it’s generally manageable, especially with gain staging; it’s not a deal-breaker unless recording very quiet sources in a low-noise environment.
