Frequently Asked Questions

While it handles a few mixes fine, the HM-800 really shines when managing several headphone feeds; it's optimized for more complex monitoring scenarios.
The aux sends are pre-fader, which is standard for headphone mixes and allows for consistent monitoring levels regardless of the main mix fader position.
Mackie has done a good job keeping the noise floor low, but very high gain settings with extremely sensitive headphones *might* reveal some hiss – it’s generally very clean, though.
