Frequently Asked Questions

Malte Burba’s design prioritizes intonation, but piccolo trumpets remain notoriously tricky; expect a learning curve regardless of the instrument.
While theoretically possible, Kühnl & Hoyer leadpipes are designed for their own system, and interchangeability with other brands is unlikely without modification.
The cornet leadpipe produces a slightly warmer, more rounded tone, while the trumpet leadpipe yields a brighter, more focused sound – both are valuable for different musical contexts.
