Shattered Glass Audio

Shattered Glass Audio is a small US-based plugin developer known for a suite of vintage console emulations and analog-modelled processors, often made available at accessible price points or as freeware. They gained early attention with the SGA1566 tube preamp emulation, a free plugin that convincingly replicated the harmonic saturation of classic valve gear. The brand's aesthetic is rooted in the character-sound philosophy — adding warmth, colour, and harmonic richness rather than transparency. Updates can be infrequent, reflecting the small team behind the software.
