MeterPlugs
MeterPlugs is an Australian audio software company founded by Ian Shepherd and Nugen Audio's collaborator, specializing in loudness metering and monitoring tools for music producers and mastering engineers. Their Perception AB plugin allows producers to blind-test loudness and compare mixes at matched levels to overcome the louder-sounds-better bias. LCAST and Loudness Penalty Analyzer are tools designed specifically to optimize music for streaming platform loudness normalization. MeterPlugs is particularly known for Ian Shepherd's vocal advocacy for loudness awareness in the music industry through his Mastering Media blog.
