Questions
What's the difference between maple and poplar?
Maple generally offers a more focused, slightly brighter tone, while poplar is warmer and has a rounder low-end. For a 14" floor tom, poplar often provides the more desirable, full sound an intermediate player is looking for.
How important are the legs?
