Questions
Can I really expect a great-sounding tom for under $200?
'Great' is subjective. You won't get a vintage Ludwig sound, but you can find a 10" tom that sounds decent, cuts through the mix, and is reliable for gigs or practice.
What's the difference between a single-ply and a multi-ply shell?
Single-ply shells are thinner and more resonant, but also more fragile. Multi-ply shells are more durable and offer a more controlled, less ringy tone. In this price range, you'll mostly find multi-ply.
What about drumheads? Are they included?
