Product Description

Yamaha F310 TBS, Acoustic Guitar

Yamaha builds great guitars and basses - that is now well established. Especially in the fields of acoustic guitars and electroacoustics, we can expect a very high quality product.

The folk series had the task of producing something reliable alongside the modern APX and contemporary models. The classic shape (with and without cutaway), tried and tested wood types and good workmanship ensure that the guitars sound fantastic when played acoustically or, if necessary, amplified.

The F310 is a typical folk guitar for a truly affordable beginners' price. Its spruce top, meranti body, nato neck with a rosewood fretboard - which cannot possibly sound stale - make it not only affordable but downright cheap for a guitar that nobody needs to hide.

PROS

  • • Nato neck offers comfortable playability and consistent feel.
  • • Rosewood fretboard adds a touch of class and improved sustain.
CONS
  • • Meranti body lacks the tonal complexity of more premium tonewoods.
  • • Basic hardware and tuners may benefit from an upgrade over time.
  • • The finish, while functional, lacks the aesthetic refinement of higher-end models.

The nato neck has a fairly standard 'C' shape, which is generally comfortable, but some players with very large hands might find it slightly snug.
The stock tuners are adequate for basic use, but upgrading to better quality tuners will significantly improve tuning stability, especially for beginners.
