Frequently Asked Questions

The active preamp boosts the signal and provides EQ control, adding clarity and punch. Thankfully, the push/pull function allows for a completely passive, vintage-style tone when desired.
Soapbars offer a more focused and articulate sound than many traditional pickups, with a tighter low-end and a slightly scooped midrange. They have a unique feel – smoother and less ‘growly’ than a P-bass pickup.
While a bolt-on neck inherently has a slightly different resonance, Sadowsky's construction is excellent, ensuring solid sustain. It’s still very respectable and won’t be a noticeable compromise for most players.
