Frequently Asked Questions

Maple offers a warmer, rounder tone than birch, which tends to be brighter and more focused. The Decade provides a great balance, though birch will have a more cutting edge.
The included Remo heads are perfectly serviceable for getting started, but upgrading to higher-quality heads will really unlock the kit's potential and allow for more tonal customization.
The hardware is solid for recreational use and occasional gigs, but for frequent, heavy-duty touring, you might consider upgrading the stands and potentially the kick drum spurs.
