• Alex employed a mix of real-world effects
• analogue tape manipulation
• and digital resynthesis to conjure unique sounds from the characterful instrument. He often used unusual objects
• including sandbags and tambourines placed on the strings to colour the sounds
• as well as playing with guitar picks
• chopsticks
