Frequently Asked Questions

The Meinl has a warmer, more complex tone than the brighter, more cutting Zildjian A Custom. Both offer excellent stick definition, but the Meinl leans towards a more vintage, nuanced sound.
While thin, the B20 bronze and Meinl’s quality control make it surprisingly durable for regular gigging. Handle with care, as with any cymbal, but it shouldn't be a liability.
It’ll work, but it truly shines in traditional jazz. You might find it a bit too subtle for the more powerful dynamics often used in swing and Latin music.
