Frequently Asked Questions

Okoume tends to be warmer and more mellow than Sitka Spruce, offering a rounder tone with less pronounced highs. It’s a lovely alternative, but lacks the Sitka's overt brightness.
The modified oval C profile is generally considered comfortable, but it’s not exceptionally thick. Players with very large hands might find it slightly snug, but most will find it playable.
The Presys-II is a solid preamp, but for truly high-volume stage use, a dedicated external preamp might offer more headroom and tonal flexibility. It's more than adequate for most gigs though.
