Frequently Asked Questions

Stainless steel reeds generally offer a quicker response and a brighter, more articulate tone than brass, and they are much more resistant to corrosion and wear.
The multi-layered lacquer provides a good level of protection, but aggressive playing and excessive moisture can still eventually affect the comb – regular cleaning is recommended.
While it’s not a ‘beginner’ harmonica, the 1847 Classic E is very playable and its responsiveness will help you learn faster than a more resistant instrument.
