- BFD Vintage Recording Techniques is an expansion pack for BFD3 which uses a variety of vintage microphone techniques to capture a beautiful Ludwig Classic Maple drum kit. The result is a selection of familiar
- authentic vintage sounds suitable for rock
- blues and more. Our engineers used world renowned drum recording techniques including ORTF
- Glyn Johns
- and Blumlein. Direct microphones were expertly placed on all kit pieces to ensure the pack has a wide range of mixing possibilities and can deliver authentic drum sounds from vintage to modern. For the ORTF technique
- 2 AKG C451B mics were used. This gave a wide stereo image with excellent mono detail that is perfect for jazz tracks. A technique that has been used on countless rock records
- the spaced pair setup featured 2 AKG C414 XLS large diaphragm condensers
- which created a wide stereo image exhibiting a huge palette of sonic colours. The Blumlein technique used 2 ribbon microphones configured to give an excellent stereo image and a sounding ambience. For the Glyn Johns technique
- 2 Neumann TLM103’s were used for overheads
- which when combined with the snare and kick direct channels provide that classic sound. Features An immensely detailed Ludwig Maple kit for BFD3. 29 microphone channels! Real drum bleed and drum resonance between the shells. 5 vintage recording techniques with infinite mixing possibilities. Each kit piece played with sticks and presented in a natural version. - BFD Eco or BFD2 (v2.1 or higher) is required to run this Expansion Pack. Registration 1. Go to https: //profile.inmusicbrands.com/customer/account/login/ > Enter your email address and choose a password > Click CREATE ACCOUNT 2. Enter your details > Click NEXT STEP 3. Select brands you're interested in > Click I agree to inMusic's PRIVACY POLICY and TERMS OF USE > Click CREATE ACCOUNT 4. You have just created an inMusic account. You will now be sent a confirmation email. 5. Locate the account confirmation email > Click CONFIRM ACCOUNT. Your account is now confirmed! Installation 1. Download the InMusic Software Center from your Plugin Boutique account 2. Install the InMusic Software Center > Run the InMusic Software center > Click LET's GO! 3. Enter your details as in step 1 of Registration above > Click SIGN IN 4. Click Add Product 5. Click Software > Enter the serial number found in your Plugin Boutique account 6. Click ADD 7. Click My Expansions 8. Click Download 9. Click Install to install your expansion 10. Open BFD3 in your DAW > The expansion will be available to the left Your expansion is installed and ready to use.
