This Artec SE-ADL is a neat little analog delay that delivers a warm, nostalgic vibe – think early 80s studio sounds. It's perfect for guitarists and bassists wanting that subtle, vintage echo for rhythm parts or short, splashy leads without spending a fortune. It's a great starting point for exploring analog delay tones.

Product Description

Artec Analog Delay SE-ADL, Effect Pedal

The company Artec is a relatively new star in the effect device market and can be described by its solid quality and really interesting prices. The team around mastermind Byoung-Yul Lim in the last two years was very busy developing an independent range of analog pedals and combo amplifiers. The result is excellent and it does not need to shy away from international comparison. Published test reports in professional journals make a clear statement on the quality.

The Delay SE-ADL is an analog delay that brings up the very popular warm, analog sounds of the early 80's. Sound is somewhere between tape echo and accurate, but often sterile digital delay sound. With a maximum delay of 440 mS it is well equipped for most cases. It has adjustable delay time, mix and number of repetitions. And the price? Sensational!

  • • Compact size makes it ideal for pedalboards with limited space.
  • • The 'sweet spot' of analog warmth without excessive muddiness or noise.
CONS
  • • Shortest max delay time limits its use for longer, ambient textures.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SE-ADL shares a similar warmth, but lacks the RE-201’s more complex, characterful tape saturation and modulation options.
The feedback is manageable, but higher settings can quickly become overwhelming; be mindful of your amp volume and surroundings.
Analog delays inherently have some noise floor; the SE-ADL is relatively clean, but higher feedback will bring it out more.
